                Caves and Buddha on Sight

Destination : Mumbai/ Aurangabad/ Bhopal/ Agra / Varanasi / Bodhgaya / Patna / Kushinagar / Lumbini / Sravasti / Delhi

Day 01 - Arrive Mumbai
On arrival meeting assistance and transfer to your hotel in Mumbai

Day 02 Mumbai
Today after breakfast proceeds to visit Elephant Caves are located one and one-half hours (by boat) out of Mumbai on Elephanta island in the Sea of Oman. The site of these magnificent caves contained beautiful reliefs, sculptures, and a temple to the Hindu god Lord Shiva. . Later proceed for the guided sightseeing of Bombay including'Gateway of India' , the 'Towers of Silence', 'Marine Drive', the 'Colaba Causeway' Dhobi Ghat, the unique and colourful outdoor 'laundry'. Drive upto the Malabar Hill to the lovely 'Hanging Gardens', Mani Bhawan, a small museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi, and the bustling Crawford Market. Overnight at the hotel

Day 03 Mumbai – Aurangabad
Today after breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to the airport to catch the flight for Aurangabad. On arrival, our representative will meet and assist you at the airport. Later transfer and check into the hotel. Later excursion tour to Ellora caves - The Ellora Caves are as old as 300 years. At first sight, the Ellora appears to the visitors as an asymmetrical ridge of rock, emerging vertically from the ground.

Day 04: Aurangabad - Bhopal
Today after breakfast excursion tour to Ajanta Caves - These caves are regarded as a world heritage site and were carved out from the 2nd century BC to 6th century AD. The sculptures and paintings in the caves detail the Buddha's life as well as the lives of the Buddha in his previous births, as related in the allegorical Jataka tales. You will also find in the caves a sort of illuminated history of the times - court scenes, street scenes, cameos of domestic life and even animal and bird studies come alive on these unlit walls. Lunch at local restaurant and on time transfer to the railway station to board the train to Bhopal. On arrival, our representative will meet and assist you at the railway station. Later transfer and check into the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Bhopal - Agra
Today after breakfast we will proceed to Sanchi for the sightseeing tour of Sanchi Stupa witness- the unique and perfectly well preserved stupas, it is also offering the visitor a chance to see, in one location, the genesis, flowering, and decay of Buddhist art and architecture during a period of about 1500 years -- almost covering the entire range of Indian Buddhism. Later transfer to the railway station to board the train to Agra. On arrival, transfer and check into the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Agra - Varanasi
Today after breakfast at hotel we will proceed to legendary Taj Mahal – A poetry in marble and a symbol of eternal love and one of the Wonders of the World. Later, visit the Agra Fort, standing testimony in red sandstone to the story of the Great Mughals. In the evening check out and transfer to the railway station to board the train for Varanasi. Overnight on board.

Day 07 Varanasi
Today on arrival at Varanasi railway station. Transfer and check into the hotel. After breakfast and refresh excursion tour to Sarnath - a place where Buddha preached his first lessons on Nirvana. Tour the museum with its interesting collection of Buddhist artifacts. Evening view "Aarti" ceremony on the Ghats. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08 Varanasi – Bodhgaya
Early morning after cup of tea and biscuits early morning boat ride at river Ganges to view sun rise and Indian rituals. Later breakfast and Check out from hotel. And drive to Bodhgaya - the place of the Buddha's Enlightenment, Bodhgaya is the spiritual home of Buhddhists. On arrival check in at hotel and overnight in Bodhgaya. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 Bodhgaya
Today after breakfast at the hotel proceed for the guided sightseeing including Maha Bodhi Temple and Bodhi Tree, the Chinese Temple, Niranjana River and Sujata Temple. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Bodhgaya – Patna
Today after breakfast at the hotel proceed to Patna via Rajgir and Nalanda. Enroute visit Gridhakuta Hill and Bimbisara Jail in Rajgir. Proceed to Nalanda - was the most renowned university in ancient India. Established in the 5th century B.C. it remained a live center of learning till the 12th century A.D. On arrival at Patna, check into the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Patna - Kushinagar
Today after breakfast drive to Kushinagar. On arrival check into the hotel. In evening proceed for guided sightseeing including Rambhar Stupa - which marks Lord Buddha's cremation ground. , Mahaparinirvana temple - which houses the recumbent figure of Lord Buddha. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12 Kushinagar - Lumbini
Today after breakfast at the hotel we will proceed to Lumbini. On arrival Lunch at hotel in evening sight seeing of birth place of Lord Buddha and transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 13 Lumbini – Sravasti
Today after breakfast at hotel proceed to Sravasti via Kapilavastu in India side proceed to Sravasti on arrival lunch and free at leisure for relax and overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 Sravasti – Lucknow – Delhi
Today Morning Breakfast at hotel and we will proceed to visit Sahet Mahet, the capital of ancient kingdom of Kosla, Jetawana Gardens Buddhist temples. After sight seeing proceed to Lucknow for connection train to Delhi. On arrival at railway station our representative will meet and assist you. Transfer to hotel and overnight.

Day 15 Delhi
Today after breakfast at hotel we proceed for Delhi sight seeing and on time transfer to airport for flight to home.
